A little help from Kapi.
Before you head out, here are a few things that make the trip easier.
The map is still getting ready
First preparation unpacks a large national dataset. Keep the app open, allow a few minutes and make sure several GB of storage are available. If preparation is interrupted, reopen the app; completed files are reused. For updates, leave extra free storage and export your journal before moving to another device.
My position is uncertain
Allow location access, enable your device’s location services and move somewhere with a clearer view of the sky. Tall buildings and indoor spaces can affect GPS even when the map is fully offline. You can choose a starting point manually to plan without using your current location.
I can’t find a place
Try the Korean name, a shorter name or a nearby landmark. The app uses open datasets, so some places or English names may be missing. Check the displayed source and do not assume a building coordinate is the correct entrance.
I want to keep my journal
Open Travel kit in the app and export your journal. Keep the exported file somewhere you control. Restoring validates the file and asks before replacing the current journal. Uninstalling normally removes local app data, so export first if you want to keep it.
I’d like a quieter companion
Turn off Kapi’s map prompts in Travel kit. The useful route and GPS messages stay available. This website automatically follows your device’s reduced-motion setting.
Where can I download the app?
Use the platform section on the homepage. Only verified official store links appear as download actions. If a store says Coming soon, that listing is not yet available through this website.
